Tracey’s Story

I consider myself extremely lucky to have been able to breastfeed my daughter. It has given me countless precious memories, from that first suckle moments after birth, to the smile she gives me when she breaks off to check I’m still there.
The first weeks weren’t easy. There were pain, tears and worry. I often felt inadequate, and in the middle of the night that it was an enourmous burden I carried alone.
We are only 5.5 months into our breastfeeding journey together… and I am not sure what the challenge of returning to work will bring, but I am thankful for the experience we have shared.
