How can I help?

Its is super simple!!! SHARE SHARE SHARE
The more exposure this project gets the more people we reach and the more often they see it the better.

What are the costs?

I have tried to keep this really affordable for everyone.
The group photo is completely free and anyone can attend it as long as you grab a free group session ticket, not all sessions will have this available depending on numbers.
To get a spot for individual images a non-refundable booking fee which is in the form of a ticket is $33 + admin fees for VIP (by another photographer trained by the project) and $55 + admin fees (VIP) to attend one of Sarah Murnane’s sessions (the founder of the ABP).

If you would like to purchase individual photos they are $22 each. These are available through an online gallery. If you buy a VIP ticket you will get a code to buy 4 individual photos and get one free. I tell people to save around $100-$150 depending on how many photos you want.
Afterpay is available for photo purchases

Will you be traveling to my town?

Since 2015 Sarah Murnane has traveled Australia, photographing in every state in Australia. The project grew soooo fast she now hires 40 photographers with the hopes of more in cities that dont have one available yet.
We need to ensure we have enough numbers to have a photographer in the area.
So we need your help tell as many friends to get involved if you would like to be apart of this amazing project.
If you want to keep updated of when sessions are coming make sure you follow the Facebook page and sign up as the sessions usually sell out in minutes.

Why white?

We ask that all participants wear white with their baby in either white or nude to represent purity. That is exactly what the project is about- showing that Breastfeeding is a pure and natural part of life. It also brings tranquility to the photos and shows every woman as an equal whilst banding together in this cause.
Its also fitting since our milk is white hehe.

How do I register to participate?

All you need to do is join our facebook support group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/australianbreastfeedingproject/
To be able to plan a date for a specific city we much have at least two sessions of 18 women so register your interest and make sure you tell others too as well.
Registering is completely FREE 🙂

How will I know when tickets are released?

I will usually announce in the facebook group and main page the exact time session tickets will become available.

How does this all work?

Photography sessions are all set up by Sarah Murnane. A lot happens to find the perfect location for sessions.
The photographers help Sarah find locations and the perfect time.
Once this is sorted the sessions tickets are created and are in the form of an event in our support group on facebook. Once the tickets go on sale they often sell out very fast.
The session is completed and all images are sent in to be processed by Sarah who edits or oversees the editing of images.
The images are uploaded to a gallery and information to access the gallery is sent out.
The gallery is open for 2 weeks and then closed.

How do I find my group photo?

When you are sent the link to see the galleries to open your photos there is a gallery for the group images. The password is also in the same email. If your group image isn’t here then it is probably not ready yet. Check back later or watch the facebook PAGE for the release.

The group image is FREE you do not have to purchase it.

If your question isn’t here please feel free to use the contact tab or join the Facebook group

How do I purchase a ticket?

Tickets are released through events which are sent out through email.
You will receive emails for all events in your state as many women are wanting to travel.

What do we wear?

Everyone needs to wear white. It can be a dress, skirt and top or pants and top but it needs to be all white. Also a white head band or white flower to go in your hair would be great. I do have some but not many.
Babies can be nude or in white. I try to make sure the weather is warm so babies can be nude but the weather is always unpredictable.

What do I bring to the session?

Bring some warmer clothes even if it isn’t meant to get cold as some people have found they need it while they wait.

Bring snacks and a drink as sometimes there is a bit of a wait for individual images.
Please dont bring cameras, unfortunately we have had some issues at other sessions, photo on your phone are fine.

How long do sessions take?

This depends on a few things but I say to everyone allow two hours.
Once you have had your group photo and individual you are welcome to leave so it may take a lot less but as there is no line or order it can take up to two hours.

Can I bring family and other children?

Of course! Many woman bring family or friends to help out with the children. Your photos don’t take long at all so many find it nice to have a play while they wait.

Can my partner or other children be in a photo?

This is a difficult question for me to answer as I can never predict how smoothly these sessions will go.
If we have enough time I really don’t mind, I do ask though you wait until one of the last to make it fair on others.
Make sure they wear white too, doesn’t have to be all white but dad in a white shirt etc.

How will I know when my individual photos have been released?

All participants are sent an email with the link and password to your groups session. It is important to make sure you have listed the projects email address australianbreastfeedingproject@gmail.com and sarah@australianbreastfeedingproject.com.au as a contact to ensure the emails don’t go to your junk/spam folder.

If you are in our support group there is a thread to follow that shows you what sessions are open and what’s currently being edited https://www.facebook.com/groups/australianbreastfeedingproject/permalink/685192845011097/

I have won a ticket, now what do I do?

When you know a session is coming up that you want to attend you need to contact Sarah through email Sarah@australianbreastfeedingproject.com.au with your winning details.
She will give you a code to get the ticket for free. If you don’t do this and the session sells out you will have to choose another session.

How do I see my photos?

Once they are ready a link and password is sent to you so you can access the gallery, with all the images from the session.

How long does it take for the images to be ready?

The time frame for galleries to be ready can vary considerably, based on how many sessions have been completed around the same time. At busy periods sessions can take approximately 12 weeks to be ready. The editing team work as quickly as they can but the ABP prides itself on releasing quality images. Given we are a small business there are sometimes unforeseen circumstances like illness that can result in longer time frames.

Why do I have to agree to the terms and conditions before attending?

The model release and copyright contract is to say you understand your images may be used on social media and in advertising etc. Copyright law means you can not sell the images and you can not edit the images in anyway.
Filters and cropping etc is prohibited.

How long are galleries opened for?

Galleries are open for 14 days and after that they are closed and archived. This means you can not access them anymore. For this reason I let everyone know they should not wait until the last minute to buy images in case there is any issues so we can fix them before the gallery shuts.
You are then sent a download email after purchase. The link on this is only valid for 7 days! If this expires and the galley has closed you will have to wait until it has been reopened before you can download your images.

The galleries may be opened again for 24 hours only if requested in the Facebook group on the gallery thread, this can only be requested after 1 month of the gallery being closed and  you still may have to wait weeks before there is an opening long enough to open it.

My download link has expired how can I get my photos?

If it has been longer than 7 days since you where sent the download link the link will have expired. If the gallery is still open you can press the link again and it should send you a new link. If the gallery has closed you will have to wait for the chance of it being opened again for 24 hours, to request this you must find the thread in the facebook group. You will be sent an email when it is opened.

What is the VIP discount code?

There is no longer a code and is now automatic.

If you are having trouble getting it to work remember it is buy 4 get 1 free so put 5 images into your cart first.

How can I use after pay to purchase my photos?

All you need to do is decide how many images you want to purchase, put them into the cart in your gallery and it will tell you how much.
Head the shop (on this website) and purchase credits.
Then send the main Facebook page a message that it has been done so I can get you a code made up.
That code is emailed and may take a few days depending when they are done (its all manual) then that code is placed in the checkout in the gallery and will bring your total to o. Please DO NOT leave this last minute it may take me a day or two to set it up. Afterpay codes aren’t done on the weekend.
WHEN YOU HAVE THE CODE, you put it in the promo code area on the galleries checkout page. Then press pay through paypal (your total will be 0).
Then you will be emailed a link to download your images.
